Design Process

Whether you require the garden design service or a straight forward quotation we would be happy to help you with any size garden or project. We would use my expertise to decide on the way forward for you and your garden, and give honest straight forward practical advice.

1. Initial Consultation

After the initial contact, a site meeting would be agreed at a mutually convenient date to start the process of improving your garden space.

A brief would be taken at this time detailing your individual requirements for you and your family.

At this stage it would be determined whether a garden design plan would be required and a fee, or a free quotation only without detailed plans.

Smaller gardens or schemes often don't require a CAD garden design plan.

2. Site Survey & Analysis

Once the fee has been agreed, the process can begin, the site would be surveyed by Wayne.

This is a very important part of the process as detailing your building and boundaries with accuracy is paramount for the garden to fulfill your needs.

A site analysis would also happen at this stage assessing the potential opportunities and any limitations on the space.

3. Outline Plans & Visuals

Now it’s time to be creative!!

The proposal is drawn up on the latest 2018 Auto-Cad technology.

Once drawn, the drawing is hand coloured/rendered to give it depth and visual understanding of the surfaces proposed. This is presented usually on A3 paper as a plan view, larger projects would be presented on A2 or A1.

Any amendments can be quickly made with no additional fees, planting suggestions only would be given within this service option.

Once the plan is finalised and agreed the quotation would be presented and split into individual items. This enables you to see what each items costs, and to help you with your choices if you did not want to proceed with the whole garden proposal.

5. Planting Plans

A planting plan is one of the most interesting parts of garden design. Plants have the ability to completely transform a garden!

Whether your requirements are a makeover of an existing bed or a full new garden borders. Detailed plant plans can be produced if required.

The fees mirror the design fees, as an additional add on. You may not need them if you are happy with the free plant list suggested, or if it’s a self-build you may request planting plans for your reference.
